The boat is very nearly finished. We’ve worked far too long and hard on it getting the final touches done, but it’s looking good and very very shiny! The boat gets packed in its crate on Monday (24th May 2010) and it will be flying out to America on Thursday (27th May 2010). The competition is so close we can almost smell it. Now to get these pesky exams out of the way!

Thanks to Graham at Solar wind for pursuading a leading MPPT company Blue Sky Energy to donate a SB3024i MTTP Solar Charge Controller to the project! This great little unit can handle the maximum 40A charge current that we could potentially get from our 480W solar array and we should get a temperature sensor and remote with it too if we are lucky!
